However, there is one issue, it uses the skins from Korean verison which is uncensored compared to the Global verison. For example A.I, there less clothing on her side of the body. Do you want to countine using images just from Global and not mix the different costume / skin from different verisons? Let me know your thoughts on this.
I would absoultely love to have a place where you can look at clean renders of all the artwork, minus backgrounds and effects, like the ones found on the site you listed and the demo pictures you uploaded. I thank you for yet again introducing me to a place where I can see all the artwork and animations, but even better.
Not only would I, personally, not mind the Korean versions being on the site, I would very much like to have both the Korean and Global versions of all the characters and costumes. Take Leda for example. Her base skin in the global version has a transparent black overlay, which I think looks much better than the Korean version (I was surprised that was one of the altered costumes). Conversely, I think the origianl Korean versions of a lot of the artwork are better as well. If you or others can think of a way to implement both, I think it can very potentially be well recieved. Maybe a Global and Korean header in the costumes section or something (maybe even hidable/retractable).
I remember already uploading the global version of Summer Camp Lisa, thinking the global and korean versions looked really nice side by side wth their own appeal, as some edits are more artistic than others, as opposed to just covering more skin. I trust you'll make the best decision for the site regardless.
I was able to get global files without any background/effects. I'll slowly upload these images shortly, may take over a month or two to get all the 5* and 4* images uploaded and name correctly. I feel we should strictly stick to global content only and not mix other versions which may cause confusion.
Okay, I trust your decision is the right one. If I may ask, how do you go about saving the pictures from the github? I get an error message when attempting to view the image, and a 1 kb download when saving it. I can view and interact with the animation just fine.
How are you saving the images?
Lastly, If you'll upload them over time, I'll just wait on that as opposed to laboring to get a somehat presentable screenshot. Clean renders eliminate all the hassle. I thank you in advance for taking the time to do this.
Let me know what you think about the new images for the new child(s). I noticed that Morgan's eye aren't as clear as the one you uploaded. Also some image I had to manually crop them such as Verdelet and Myrina verse Pietas default size 700x1250.
It seems as though there's always a trade off unfortunately. The images you provided are clean renders and full screen, although I have noticed that the poses are slightly different. For almost all the screenshots I've captured after the first couple, I turned off live2d, and it gives me the standard, and what I assume to be official, archive pose. However, rarely, it's a little different and I have to turn live2d back on and try to time it when the animation resets, like in the case with Classic Servant Morgan, which has her sword blur for some reason.
I say all that to say that it looks like these may have been taken with live2d at random points, in case that meant anything to you as it pertains to being "official". If you look at the promo art for Classic or Loyal Morgan and compare with the ones you uploaded, you can see the differences in pose, though fairly sleight.
Next would be the Pietas images. If I look at both of them zoomed in (just clicking it to enlarge) side by side in different tabs, the quality difference is noticeable. Looking at the one you found, I wouldn't have even known that there was lace on the side of her black apron. In the screenshot I took zoomed in, it's very clear and hard to miss.
So I wouldn't call the following cons, but It's the best way I can think to simplify it.
Renders :Full Image (Not cut off by screen borders), Clean Renders, No Custom Background or Effects, Full Library Already Available.
Screenshots: Cleaner/Crisper Quality (Depending on the user upload), Higher Resolution, "Official" idle pose with live2d off (most times).
Screenshots: Cut Off Pictures (Phone Borders), Background and Effects, Overall Quality is Dependent on Which User Uploads.
I learned early on that android has a way to take screenshots of things off screen (i.e. Morgans hair) like the images you uploaded, but it really affects the quality on android, so I always opted for quality over the full, borderless image.
Neither seem to be quite ideal in my honest opinion, but I don't think the average user or visitor will mind either way. Most images online, no matter where I've searched seem to be in low or average quality anyway. Exceptionally few seem to be like the ones I've uploaded, which for whatever reason, are crisper and higher resolution. The Github though, when zoomed in to 1500px is closer to the screenshot quality I've noticed.
Thanks for the consideration, but I named myself TempUser because i never even wanted to upload anything in the first place. I thought if I got it started, others would join in. I deleted the game once because of what I guess you could call religious reasons (loved the artwork for years, but never knew what the story was actually about...), and only wanted to see if my account was deleted, but then started playing again (Since I got a couple new things that weren't on the wiki yet). I noticed that the program I used to take screenshots made higher quality images than most available on the web and on the site, so I uploaded what I had.
After uploading a couple dozen, I even started going the extra mile, trying to get the image as clean as I could. Since most pictures online have no regard for all the embers on screen, I spent up to 30 minutes trying to get a screenshot with no embers on the artwork and as far away as possible (or that I was patient enough to get). I really just wanted a place I could go to see all the artwork in HD if I deleted the game again for good, since I haven't found a place like that online (Its either low quality, or an incomplete library). I defintely had no intention of sticking around.
Sorry for the long post, but I say all that to say thank you, but no thank you. Have a blessed day.
I advocate whatever you think is best. I only advocated for Childs since the page you click on would have all the childs in it, as opposed to one. I think Child would work just fine, and if I happen to have a new child not posted yet and make a page, I'll tag it in Child, instead of Childs or Children.
I'd also like to thank you for putting the actual information on all the incomplete pages I created. I was so frustrated with the time it took to get decent screenshots, that I wanted to get the images on the site as soon as possible. I'm also very new to creating web pages, and wanted to leave it to veterans. Thank you very much for lending a helping hand. I'm looking forward to all the art that is to come, and I'm sure you'll do an amazing job with the Wiki. I'm sincerely looking forward to it. Take good care!
It was Xboxgrend that added in all the missing info, I plan on letting him take ownership. Yes, please tag them as Child moving forward. Please, let me know how you take decent screenshots, and I will help out from time to time to get all the costumes and different class skin for any of the missing Child(s).
Oh okay, thank you for letting me know. As for the screenshots, all I meant was I tried taking the screenshot when there were few embers on the screen, which for most of the artwork is hard to do. It's just a personal nitpick, since I've yet to find a way to turn them off. I'm defintely not saying there's anything special about the ones I posted or anything. In the archive, the embers seem to reset after about 10 seconds when first clicking on a child, so I would take it around that interval a few to a lot of times, and I settled for the one that looked the cleanest and least distracting.
I have a samsung note 8, but noticed my first couple didn't seem to be as big and crisp/detailed as say, the screenshot for Mona that's been on the site for a while. The biggest difference seemed to be that it was a png. So I found an app that gave the option to save as a png (Screen Master), and used that to take the screenshots. It was the best I could find, despite having a 1 second delay before each capture. Definitely nothing special or anything. I'm sure there are much better ways to get good screenshots.
To reiterate, since I had the time, I just spent a lot of time trying to get a picture that had the embers as far away from the artwork as possible. Certainly nothing anyone should go out of their way to do or anything. I did see a couple days ago that Xboxgrend edited some pages I made, but I would still like to thank you for all your contributions to the wiki. I really appreciate the effort.
Thanks a lot man, that's very kind and considerate of you. I really appreciate that. When I click on the site however, I only get 3 rows of Master and Mona. Do you have to do anything? (I'm also a firefox user if that means anything.) I did discover a better wiki than the inven and the wikiwiki.jp by going to the link you gave me though.
It's an english database of all released childs from the korean and global versions, which could come in handy for building teams in the future. Thaks a ton for taking the time out of your day to tell me that. I'm truly, truly thankful!
You've been very kind to let me know all of this. It's really nice to have a place with all the art and a place where you can see all the animations as well. Can't thank you enough man. If I may ask, I also have a question. I don't know much about the other versions, and the thing I'm most curious about is the costume shop.
Leda has a special costume available right now, but only if you spend money. I don't ever plan on putting money in this game, and I wanted to know if costumes like that will be available in the costume shop later on.
Thank you for the information. Also, I created a page called SNOW MIKU 2019, and renamed it to PRINCESS SNOW MIKU. in game, both SNOW MIKU'S are listed as such. However, the 2019 version has the official title of PRINCESS SNOW MIKU. I'm not sure what the official page should be named, or if she should be added to the other SNOW MIKU page, despite being a different character. If you know how it should be handled, I request that you make the proper changes, if you're willing and find the time.
Okay, lastly for the time being, I just made an observation and was wondering if it was just me. I noticed the image I uploaded was in webp format when attmepting a test save, despite uploading it as a PNG. I looked around the site, and all the JPG's and PNG's appear as WebP when attempting to save them.
I went to other image sites and the JPG's and PNG's were just fine, so I didn't think this was unique to me. However, going to a few other Wikia's that I visit, I noticed that all of the uploaded images are in Webp format, despite being uploaded as JPG, JPEG, PNG, etc.
If you don't mind me asking, is it the same for you? If so, is this some new wiki, or fandom.com thing? Every wikia I go to is like this, but only wikia websites and pages. It definitely wasn't like this at the beginning of the week.
