Story Dialog[]
Awakening I: Dangerous Guy[]
[D-Grade Unlock]
Davi | Eee! Let go of me! I said let go of me! |
---|---|
Jupiter | Hmph, what a noisy little girl. Your shrill, piercing voice is like a church bell. It gives me a headache. |
Davi | I'm not a bell! Let GO of me! |
Jupiter | And what will you do if I let go of your hand? |
Davi | As if I would say! I wouldn't tell you that I'm going to tattle on you to Mona if it's the last thing I ever do! |
Jupiter | I see. In that case, I have even less reason to let go of your hand. It would be quite a hassle if she were to appear. |
Davi | Oh crap, I accidentally told him...Monaaa! Monaaa! |
Jupiter | There you go again. I suppose I have no choice. If you wished to be gagged, I am only too happy to comply. |
Master | Would you two please be quiet? What's all this about, anyway? You know you're disturbing the neighborhood, right? |
Master | Huh? Davi, what are you doing out here with him? |
Davi | Oh, come on! Why did YOU have to be the one to show up, rooster head? |
Master | ...Again, what are you doing out here? |
Jupiter | As you can see, I am trying to silence this tiresome bell that refuses to stop ringing. |
Master | A bell, huh... Pfft. That's pretty good. |
Davi | I'm not a bell! |
The way Jupiter is holding her up with one hand, that's sure not what it looks like from here. | |
Master | ...Anyways, I still don't know what's going on here, so could you put her down? Otherwise my neighbors won't let me hear the end of it. |
Jupiter | I'm afraid not. As long as I draw breath, I cannot allow this malicious prankster to run around doing whatever she pleases. |
Master | ...At least you're honest. What'd you do this time, Davi? |
Davi | Waaah, you're so mean, Master! You always blame me for everything! |
Master | There's a reason for that. |
Davi | ...I didn't do anything bad. |
Jupiter | Indeed, she is telling the truth. However, she is also leaving out a key word: "yet." |
Master | ... |
Davi | Wh-What? Y-You can glare at me all you want. I'm not scared of you. |
Jupiter | ... |
Davi | Oh... fine! I...I touched your bag. But just a little bit! |
Master | That's what I thought. Why'd you do that? |
Davi | Well, I wanted to see what was inside... I even asked him to show me before, but he said no. |
Jupiter | If that is what you wish to see, I would be glad to show you whenever you like. But only if the master commands it. |
Jupiter | A pathetic demon though as he may be, he is nonetheless my current master. As such, I cannot refuse his order. |
Master | Haha, pathetic, huh... Well, never mind that. What's in the bag, anyway? Something bad? |
Jupiter | It depends on how it is used. |
Jupiter | However, I don't believe a pathetic demon like yourself—one who cannot even reign in a single succubus—would be capable of using it. |
Jupiter | I admit that I do sympathize, to a degree, with this succubus for being stuck with the same dim-witted master as myself. |
Master | It's better than being a Child who's overly full of himself. |
Awakening II: Old Man's Wish[]
[B-Grade Unlock]
Master | I don't need any more Childs like Jupiter. In fact, just the one is more than I need. |
---|---|
Lisa | One is simply not enough, Master. It would be bad if he were to leave. |
Master | Easier said than done. I'm the one who has to keep him in check, after all! |
Lisa | Nonetheless, we need a Child capable of browbeating a demon with charisma alone. |
Lisa | Jupiter is without a doubt such a Child. The more like him we have, the better. |
Master | I'm just worried he's going to browbeat ME into submission long before any enemies show up... |
Lisa | Look, over there: a group of human fossils. Perhaps there is someone among them you could make a pact with? |
Master | Human fossils?! At least call them old people! |
Lisa pointed to a volunteer who was setting up free food for the nearby senior citizens. | |
Master | So, let me make sure I've go this straight: We made a pact with an old man and got Jupiter, so you think we should have similar luck with others, right? Hence operation... Operation... |
Lisa | Operation Lodestar? |
Master | Yeah, that. Operation Lodestar. |
Lisa | *sigh* I don't know what we're going to do if you can't even remember a simple operation name... Are you sure you can find another charismatic Child of Jupiter's caliber? |
Master | For my part, I'm not especially concerned about finding another one. |
Lisa | Don't start that again... Oh? Never mind that for now. Look, over there. |
Master | What's up? ...Say. isn't that Jupiter's pactmaker? |
??? | Hi there! Please, help yourself. |
Masajuro Hoshizaki | Hmph, I'm not going to have any of this cheap junk. |
??? | I promise you it's better than it looks. Everyone else loves it... |
Masajuro Hoshizaki | Don't lump me in with those old fools. |
Master | ...I see he's as stubborn as ever. |
Lisa | It may be fate that we ran into him again here. Let's go make him sign another pact. |
Master | Awe I don't want him to yell at me again. Besides, he's too stubborn for his own good. |
Lisa | That's exactly what we want. The more complaints he has, the more wishes he'll want granted. |
Masajuro Hoshizaki | ...Hm? Say, you're that kid from the other day! |
Master | Hello. You, uh, seem the same as before. |
Masajuro Hoshizaki | Cheeky little brat. You've got the nerve, talking back to your elders. |
Masajuro Hoshizaki | But you're not wrong. Nothing seems different about me... on the outside. |
Masajuro Hoshizaki | But since I made one of those pacts with you, I feel more... energetic... |
Masajuro Hoshizaki | I'm as sharp as a tack again, just like when I was young. |
Lisa | So are you satisfied? |
Masajuro Hoshizaki | You kidding me?! My wish still hasn't come true. |
Masajuro Hoshizaki | The ones who took everything from me are still laughing it up at the top of the skyscraper! |
This old man supposedly used to be a CEO of a major company. Even now, you can sense some of the drive that got him here to begin with. | |
Masajuro Hoshizaki | I want more power! And I feel like if I make another pact with you, I'll get it. Would you let me sign another one, kid? |
Master | Mmm, I don't know... |
Lisa | What are you wavering for, Master? It's extremely rare and fortunate for a pactmaker to come and ask for a pact like this. |
Master | Yeah, yeah, I know. But before that, I just want to make sure you know that— |
Masajuro Hoshizaki | That my wish isn't guaranteed to come true. I've heard it all before. |
Master | Okay, good. Well then, what's your wish? |
Masajuro Hoshizaki | My wish is... |
Awakening III: You and Me[]
[S-Grade Unlock]
Jupiter | I can't belive you. There is no longer any hope of victory. How long do you plan to continue this futile struggle? |
---|---|
Master | I told you they were really tough! But don't worry. We've almost got 'em! |
Jupiter | I see. So you have no plan for success nor any intention to retreat. |
Jupiter | Then I suppose there's nothing to be done if we wish to win this battle. I shall show you my true power. |
Master | Hey, we're in the middle of a battle here. What're you doing with that bag... |
Jupiter opened his bag. At last, I'll find out what's inside... | |
Jupiter | ... |
Master | ...Huh? |
Master | The enemy's gone... Is the battle over? |
Jupiter | I can't believe you fainted. I knew you were pathetic, but this exceeds even my low expectations. |
Master | I fainted? Really? |
Master | Hang on, exactly what happened? You opened that bag... and then what? |
Jupiter | Now that we have won, there is no need for me to remain here. |
Master | Seriously, what's in that bag? It's gotta be something really bad, right? |
Jupiter | What's inside is not important. What's important is how you use it, and whether you use it to seize victory. |
Master | You said that before. |
Master | *sigh* At any rate, could you at least give me some warning before using something so dangerous? |
Master | What if you injured the other Childs? |
Master | I know Davi's been trying to peek inside your bag every chance she gets... I'll have to make extra sure she doesn't succeed. |
Jupiter | ...Do you truly intend to become the Archfiend? |
Master | Huh? Where's this coming from? |
Jupiter | If you do, then I should warn you. From now on, you need to be much more focused on victory. |
Master | Honestly, I don't want to become the Archfiend... but that doesn't mean I'm not doing my best during battles. |
Jupiter | Are you really? Because it certainly doesn't seem like it. In that case, do you understand why we had such a difficult time in this battle? |
Jupiter | You were so concerned about your Childs that you neither noticed when we lost our advantage, nor when we lost our chance to make a safe retreat. |
Master | So that's why used that super-dangerous thing without warning? To win? |
Master | You know what? Forget it. I'm done. I'm done! No more Archfiend for me. |
Master | So don't ever use that thing again, okay? It's not like a battle's the end of the world. |
Jupiter | So you have no intention of winning? |
Master | That's not it. I'm saying there's no need to use something so dangerous. Even if we win, if somebody ends up dead, it's not worth it. |
Jupiter | So you have no intention of winning, yet you claim you are doing your best? |
Master | Holy crap, are you a broken record? I AM, but... I guess it's not necessarily enough just to win. I have to do my best to make sure my Childs stay safe, you know? It's my job as their Master. |
Jupiter | Keeping your Childs safe... So that is your way of fighting at your best... Now I see. |
Master | You do? Just like that? |
Jupiter | Yes. I understand now how you feel about your Childs. As such, I will never again use this bag unless you require I do so. |
Master | ...Seriously? |
Jupiter | Our goals and methods may differ slightly... But I am intrigued by the way you act. |
Jupiter | Besides, if you really end up becoming Archfiend with a pathetic method like that, I'll have a story to tell for ages to come. |
Master | Did you have to say it like that? |
