Profile[]
Pan, who got her name from the god of the wild and flocks that protected the gods from giants, lived in solitude and suffered from loneliness. She did not mind being misunderstood so long as peace was maintained. She protected a friend by trading a piece of her soul to a demon. Similar to her pactmaker, she is quiet and not very social, but she considers the Childs around her her friends.

Awakening I : Empathy[]
[D-Grade Unlock]
Pan |
You were always here, weren't you? You may bot be here now, but this place remains warm with your presence. Will I find you here again if I wait? Would it be for nothing, knowing your eyes can't see me? You and I, we may have been the only true friends either of us will ever know, and yet... |
---|---|
Master | How's your pactmaker holding up? |
Pan | Why do you even ask? |
Master | I dunno, I was just wondering. Hey, c'mon now, don't gimme that doubtful look! |
Pan | If you're hoping to make another pact with her... |
Master | Hmm, well, if Mona and Lisa really got on my case, I wouldn't rule it out entirely, but...
I mean, I've already made a pact, yeah? One is rough enough as it is. |
Pan | You're worried about her, then |
Master | More like "concerned", but sure. We definitely didn't enter an ordinary sort of pact, see. |
Master's Mind | Pan's pactmaker and I met by pure chance. It happened when I was sneaking around this school, looking for students to make pacts with. I don't know how she tracked me down, but before I knew it, there she was, telling me how she wanted to save her friend from some demon. |
Master | Y'know, I'm not a fan of people who go around painting all of us demons are terrible folks.
really dissuades me from wanting to help... |
Pan | But you hardly fit the bill as it is. You're a demon, yes, but there's nothing evil about you. |
Master | I mean... Still, though.
Sure, Mona had been on my case to make more pacts, but I should've at least set things straight first. |
Pan | But if you had, you might not have made a pact at all, Or am I wrong? |
Master | You're not, but... |
Pan | It's fine that it doesn't make sense to you.
It's quite the same for my pactmaker as well. If she had not would up standing before you that day, and if you had made your pact with someone else instead... Things might have worked out differently. It might have led to a less-happy ending for you and her both. The way these pacts work, it's hard to tell. |
Master | Wait, are you telling me things ended going all right for her after all? |
Pan | Hee hee...
I went and visited the school where you two met earlier today, I didn't catch her there, but I felt her presence... We remain connected, the two of us - each sensing one another. That's how I realized that she remains strong and lives on. She is as alone now as she ever was. Nobody knows how ready she was offer up her very soul to save them. All have forgotten she even exists... But despite all that, she is well. |
Master | You sure about that? |
Pan | I am. My very existence is proof of it.
I am truly grateful for our encounter, Demon. |
Awakening II : Clumsy But True[]
[B-Grade Unlock]
Master | Lisa, have you seen Pan around anywhere? |
---|---|
Lisa | I can't say I have, but I'd imagine she's out taking a stroll somewhere. Shall I track her down for you? |
Master | Nah, don't worry about it.
-- Lisa, have you seen Pan around at all? |
Lisa | I haven't. She's probably out for a walk. |
Master | Is she worried about getting her daily steps or something? |
Lisa | Or she simply enjoys taking strolls, Want me to find her for you? |
Master | Nah, it's cool. As long as she's all right... |
Lisa | Very well, then. |
Master | Lisa, you haven't seen P- |
Lisa | No, I haven't. And again, I'm sure she's out for a walk. Why do you seem to care so much? |
Master | No reason, really. Just thought I'd ask, is all. No need to get bent outta shape...
You're scary enough to send a demon running when you're mad, y'know. |
Lisa | Trust me, You'd know if I was angry. But tell me: How many times do you intend to ask me the exact same thing? Do you need Pan or something? |
Master | N-No, I just... thought I'd check in.
A-And I mean, you're the one always getting on my case, telling me I should try and be a better master! So why are you getting all worked up at me for trying to keep a handle on my Childs all of a sudden? Is that the sort of attitude an aide should have? |
Lisa | ... |
Pan | ... |
Master | ... |
Lisa | Here, Master. I've brought her for you. |
Master | Oh... G-Great work, Lisa. |
Lisa | Thank you kindly. Now then, if you don't mind, I'll excuse myself here. |
Master | H-Hey, you don't have to go, you know... |
Pan | What did you want me for? |
Master | Well, uh... Nothing in particular, really... |
Pan | Then why did you bring me here? If you don't need me, I'd like to get back to my walk. |
Master | Again with walking... Do you really find it that fun? |
Pas | Quite, actually. I take it you're not a fan? |
Master | Let's just say like to make the most of my travel time. |
Pan | I'll take that to mean you prefer to do as little exercise as physically possible. |
Master | Hey now, no need to be mean. |
Pan | It's sort of impressive in its own way, really.
Anyway, what did you want from me? I'm sure it wasn't just ask if I enjoyed talking walks. |
Master | Nothing big. I only wanted to check on you. You're always by yourself and all, so... |
Pan | So you thought I might be lonely? Care to join me for a walk, then? I, uh, won't force you, but... |
Master | Y-Yeah, uh, sure. A little stroll never hurt anyone, right? |
Pan | Haha... Glad to have you along. |
Lisa | I wish the two of them would both realize how awkward the can be. *sigh* |
Awakening III : Surprising Reason[]
[S-Grade Unlock]
Pan | ... |
---|---|
Davi | *whisper whisper* |
Pan | Davi? What are you doing? |
Davi | Shh! I don't want that stupid rooster head to know I'm here! Don't tell him! |
Pan | You want me to lie for you, then? |
Davi | Just zip those lips! |
Pan | I'm not about to lie, though. |
Davi | You have to, though! You gotta cover for me! That idiot can't know that I ate his emergency rations! |
Pan | But... |
Davi | Yikes! I think I hear him!
Y-Y-You better not say anything about me being here! |
Pan | Be careful running like that - you might trip... |
Master | Daaaviii! |
Pan | ... |
Master | *pant* *pant* Phew...that runt's nothing if fast on her feet.
Pan, have you seen Davi around anywhere? |
Pan | I, uh... Well...I DID see her run off that way, but... |
Master |
You did? Thanks! |
Pan | W-Wait! |
Master | Huh? Why? |
Pan | What are you going to do to her? |
Master | Give her the punishment she deserves, that's what. |
Pan | You'd raise a hand to her? Well, in that case... |
Master | Huh? What'd you mean? |
Pan | I will not let you pass. |
Master | What? Why?! |
Pan | Violence only begets more violence. I won't let you disrupt the peace we have. |
Master | What are you talking about? I didn't mean I was going to hit her or anything! Just give her an earful...
Gah, great. You stopping me like this has cooled my temper already. Whatever. I guess this isn't the first time Davi has set me off, anyway. And she DID manage to outrun me this time, so I might as well leave her be. |
Pan | Does that mean...? |
Master | She's off the hook. If I see her back at home, though, I'll...do nothing, I guess, since she'll probably use Mona to protect her.
Ugh, see, this is why I wanted to catch her in the act. |
Pan | Should I take that to mean you're got nothing to do, now? |
Master | I mean, as long as I don't head back home yet, yeah.
If I do, I'm sure those other two will get right on my case, telling me to get out and run some errand or other. |
Pan | Care to join me for a walk, then? |
Master | Sounds like a plan. |
Pan | Hee hee. Let's make sure to stop and smell the roses along the way. |
