Profile[]
A Child named for Elias, the alchemist who realized the truth about this world. He was born when his pactmaker reluctantly made a pact with a demon in order to save his sister, who had fallen into a demon's clutches. Even now, he remains skeptical of his own existence, given that he owes it to an accursed demon. He has...complicated feelings about Loyal Yaga, thanks to the history their pactmakers share.

Story Dialog[]
Awakening I: Lonely Alchemist[]
[D-Grade Unlock]
Lisa | Master, the Childs are becoming increasingly dissatisfied. |
---|---|
Master | I know. |
Lisa | Then why aren't you doing anything about it? |
Master | What am I supposed to do? |
Lisa | He's your Child, Master. Controlling your Childs is part of your job. |
Master | I've never seen a Child like this. What am I supposed to do about him? |
Lisa | Very well... With great reluctance, I suggest we ask Mona for help. |
Master | Mona? |
Lisa | That's right. She's much smarter than you, and also a much better talker. |
Master | Good point. She's smarter and a better talker than you, too. |
Lisa | Hmph! |
Master | Thanks, Mona. |
Mona | This might just be out of my hands. He's saying straight up that he hates you, you know. |
Master | You're enjoying this, aren't you? |
Mona | Teehe! ❤ I've always had a very inquisitive nature, after all. |
Master | Lisa, isn't there anything we can do? |
Lisa | Don't ask me. I'm regretting this too. |
Mona | Elias, can I speak to you for a moment? |
Elias | ... |
Mona | I guess that's a no. |
Master | Is that it? Come on, try harder! |
Mona | Sorry, I don't care for aloof men. Good luck with everything! ❤ |
Master | Mona! ...So much for that. Come on, Lisa. Isn't there anything you can do? H-Hey, where'd that guy go? |
Master | She's usually so confident, too... Oh well. |
Master | Elias. You know, the polite thing to do when someone calls your name is to answer them. |
Elias | ...You're not "someone," you're a demon. |
Master | Hey, you finally said something. What's got you so upset, anyway? |
Elias | Everyone here. |
Master | What, you hate demons or something? |
Elias | Yes. |
Master | Do you have any idea how much distress you're causing the other Childs? They say you do nothing but criticize them. |
Elias | Because they keep doing awful things. |
Master | No, your're the one doing that. |
Elias | ... |
Master | Look, you're a Child, and so are they. You're all on the same team. Try to open up to them a bit. |
Elias | Ridiculous. Me, on a team of demons? |
Master | Ugh, you're like a spoiled teenager. Fine. Just do what you want, then. |
Elias | ... |
Master | *sigh*...The future feels hopeless. |
Awakening II: Alchemist's Woes[]
[B-Grade Unlock]
Elias | ...There's something nagging at me. |
---|---|
Master | Are you talking to me? |
Elias | Do you have a problem with that? |
Master | N-No, I'm just surprised. So what's nagging at you? |
Elias | The Child's pactmakers asked demons to grant them a wish, right? |
Master | Yeah. |
Elias | And were all of their wishes granted? |
Master | ... |
Elias | I knew it... |
Master | Like you said, demons don't grant wishes to humans. All we do is lend them the power to grant it themselves. |
Elias | So it's a waste to believe in demons, then. |
Master | Maybe. |
Elias | Yaga once told me that since humans are weaker than demons, they need to accept the demons ruling them. |
Elias | But my pactmaker hates demons. He believes he lost his family because of me. |
Elias | Yet in the end, he still resorted to borrowing their power. I'm proof of that. Yaga is right... |
Master | Elias. |
Elias | I don't understand my pactmaker. I don't know why he would borrow power from a demon when he hates them so much... |
Master | Probably because he felt like he had no choice. But his desire to save his sister from demons was genuine. |
Elias | Then what am I? I hate demons, yet I wouldn't exist were it not for your power. |
Elias | How am I supposed to reconcile that? |
Master | Well... |
Elias | I'm nothing but a contradiction. And contradictions don't exist in this world. |
Master | That's not true. |
Elias | Hm? |
Master | Maybe I can't understand everything you're saying, but I do know this: |
Master | I'm looking at you right now. You're you, Elias. Your own person. Nothing more, nothing less. |
Elias | Haha, you sound like a child. |
Master | Elias... |
Elias | But you're not wrong. I'm me, eh... So if you're right, that would mean I should live life in a way that's true to who I am. |
Master | Yeah, exactly. |
Elias | In that case, the best thing I can do to be true to myself...is continue to loathe you for being a demon. |
Master | Huh? That's not what I— |
Elias | Hahaha! I feel better than I have in a long time. |
Awakening III: Kind Demon[]
[S-Grade Unlock]
Elias hates me for being a demon. It's probably because of the memories from his pactmaker, who also hated demons. | |
He makes me grateful that looks can't kill. If they could, given the way he glares at me sometimes, I'd have long since been six feet under. | |
But, since I have to make sure my Childs like me... | |
I have to find a way to get him to open up to me. | |
Lisa | Elias does enjoy books. Perhaps you could make use of that. |
Master | So he likes books, huh... Anything else? |
Lisa | It seemed as though he wanted to buy some books... |
Master | Concerned, huh? |
Master | Elias. |
Elias | I thought I told you not to talk to me so much... |
Master | Hey, come on. Easy there. I just have a suggestion for you. |
Elias | I don't make deals with demons. |
Master | It's not a deal. I just want to do you a favor. |
Elias | A favor? From a demon? Don't make me laugh. |
Master | I hear that you really enjoy reading. |
Elias | Yeah, so? |
Master | And that there are way more books you want to read than you have space for... |
Elias | What are you getting at? |
Master | Would you like to use my room? |
Elias | ...Your room? |
Master | Yeah. You can keep as many books as you want in there. |
Elias | What are you up to? |
Master | Nothing. Like I said, I'm trying to do you a favor. Anyway, it's just a suggestion. |
Elias | ...Hmph. You want me to visit a demon's room of my own volition? Preposterous. |
Master | W-What the— |
Elias | There you are. |
Master | Wh-Where did all these books come from? |
Elias | I meant to only buy a few, but as you can see, it is what is it. |
Master | I'll say. You could run your OWN bookstore with all of there. |
Elias | Oh? Does this mean you're rescinding your suggestion? I knew I couldn't trust a demon. |
Master | No, I'm not rescinding anything. I'm a man of my word. |
Elias | ...Very well, I'll place my trust in you. S-So, uh...th-thank you. |
Master | What was that? I could barely hear you. |
Elias | I was saying from now on, I expect complete silence whenever I'm reading. |
Elias | There will also be no talking, no ripping paper, or drinking, no snoring... |
Master | ...I think I might've been a little TOO nice. |
